2026 Women's Six Nations: Super Saturdays and Unprecedented Excitement

The 2026 Women's Six Nations will feature 'Super Saturdays' with all matches on single days, aiming to attract record audiences and build on the success of the Women's Rugby World Cup.

The 2026 Women's Six Nations is set to revolutionize the tournament with each round staged on a single day, featuring four 'Super Saturdays' culminating in a thrilling final on Sunday, 17 May. Defending champions England will face their closest rivals, France, in what promises to be a nail-biting conclusion to the competition.

England, the dominant force in women's rugby, have clinched seven consecutive titles. However, France came within a whisker of ending their streak in April, losing by just one point. This sets the stage for an intense rivalry in 2026.

England will kick off their campaign on 11 April against Ireland at Twickenham's Allianz Stadium, the venue where they set a world record in 2023 with 58,498 spectators watching their victory over France. This match will be England's first since their 2025 Women's Rugby World Cup campaign on home soil, where they are favorites to win their first title in 11 years.

The following week, Scotland will host England at Murrayfield in the first standalone women's international at the venue. The current record attendance for a Scotland women's home match, 7,774 set in 2024, is expected to be surpassed.

While venues for the remaining matches are yet to be announced, organizers have promised details will be revealed soon. The 2026 tournament will start three weeks after the men's Six Nations, aligning with a new global international calendar.

With the tournament taking place just over six months after the Women's Rugby World Cup in England, organizers are optimistic about attracting unprecedented audiences. The 'Super Saturdays' format is designed to maximize viewership and engagement, offering fans a full day of top-tier rugby action.
