Keri Halliday Joins Hearts: A Rising Star in Women's Football

Northern Ireland international Keri Halliday joins Hearts from Linfield, bringing her dynamic play and experience to the SWPL side.

Northern Ireland international Keri Halliday has made a significant move to Hearts from Linfield, signing a two-year deal with the SWPL side. The 20-year-old, known for her versatility as an attacking midfielder or winger, has already earned 13 caps for Northern Ireland since her debut against Albania in 2023.

Halliday's journey began at Linfield, where she scored an impressive 53 goals in 85 matches, showcasing her talent and determination on the field. Her outstanding performance earned her the title of Northern Ireland's Young Player of the Year in 2024.

Hearts manager Eva Olid expressed her excitement about the new addition: "We're really pleased to bring Keri in. She's a direct, positive player who always looks to make things happen in the final third. She's confident on the ball, not afraid to take on defenders, and has a real instinct for finding space in and around the box. Although she's still young, she's already shown she can handle the demands of senior football, and we believe our environment will really help her develop further."

Olid added, "Keri fits the kind of profile we're looking to invest in — players with ability, work rate, and the right attitude to grow with us."

Halliday will join fellow Northern Ireland internationals Joely Andrews and Lauren Wade at Hearts, while striker Kerry Beattie has departed to join Aberdeen on a permanent deal. This transfer marks a new chapter for Halliday as she continues to make her mark in women's football.
