Asfoora's Electrifying Victory at York: A Triumph in Horse Racing
Australia's Asfoora claims a stunning victory at the York Nunthorpe Stakes, showcasing her speed and skill under jockey Oisin Murphy.

Australia's Asfoora delivered a breathtaking performance to win the Nunthorpe Stakes on the third day of the Ebor meeting at York. The seven-year-old mare, trained by Henry Dwyer and ridden by champion jockey Oisin Murphy, demonstrated her exceptional speed and stamina in a thrilling finish.
Asfoora tracked the early pace set by Karl Burke's Night Raider before making her move in the final furlong. She surged ahead to finish a length and a quarter clear of Kevin Ryan's 100-1 outsider Ain't Nobody, with William Knight's Frost At Dawn securing third place. Night Raider finished in fourth.
"It was perfect. She got a nice run from Night Raider, and I allowed her to go forward," Murphy told ITV Racing. "She travelled very well, and the track is quite quick, which suits her. She was electric."
This victory marks Asfoora's second top-level win, following her triumph in the King Charles III Stakes at Royal Ascot last year. Her consistent performances have solidified her reputation as one of the most formidable mares in horse racing today.
