Ethical Diamond Dominates Ebor Handicap: Irish Horses Sweep the Podium at York
Ethical Diamond led an Irish 1-2-3 finish in the prestigious Ebor Handicap at York, solidifying its status as a top contender for the Melbourne Cup.

Ethical Diamond continued its stellar season by winning the Ebor Handicap at York, leading an impressive Irish 1-2-3 finish. The 5-1 favorite, ridden by William Buick and trained by Willie Mullins, secured victory by two and a half lengths in the £500,000 race, Europe's richest flat handicap.
Ascending, trained by Henry de Bromhead, finished second, while Queenstown, under Aidan O'Brien, took third place. Stressfree, representing David O'Meara, rounded out the top four.
This victory adds to Ethical Diamond's impressive resume, which includes a win at the Duke of Edinburgh Stakes during Royal Ascot in June. Despite its success, Mullins indicated that the horse is unlikely to compete in the Melbourne Cup due to stringent safety protocols in Australia.
