Rick Passmoor Steps Up as Interim Head Coach for Leicester Women Ahead of WSL Opener
Rick Passmoor appointed interim head coach for Leicester Women as they gear up for the Women's Super League opener against Manchester United.

Rick Passmoor has been named the interim head coach of Leicester City Women as they prepare for their Women's Super League (WSL) opener against Manchester United. This announcement comes just days after the departure of former coach Amandine Miquel, who was dismissed 10 days before the new season.
Passmoor, who previously served as an assistant coach at West Ham United, expressed his decision to leave the Hammers due to family reasons. In a statement, he said, "With 12 months left on my contract at West Ham United, I have had to make the tough decision to step back from my role at the club for family reasons."
Miquel, who led Leicester to a 10th-place finish last season, managed to secure 20 points from 22 games, finishing 10 points clear of relegated Crystal Palace. Despite her efforts, the club decided to part ways with her, paving the way for Passmoor to take charge.
Leicester's first game under Passmoor will be against Manchester United on Sunday, 7 September at 12:00 BST. Fans are eager to see how the team performs under new leadership.
